I create innovative, exuberant, and responsive graphic design, promotional materials, animated media, and film media. I believe beautiful design in all things is a necessary and joyful element of moving through our lives. Everyone deserves to experience the thrill and pleasure of good design. My work brings a human touch to design that provides emotional connection, empathy, and cultural context that automated or AI tools cannot replicate.

Before pivoting to focus on graphic design, I created theatrical productions as a stage director, writer, producer, and theater designer. I also worked in higher education as a theater professor. Creating theater for the live stage is visual and narrative storytelling. Like theater, graphic design is also based in visual and narrative storytelling.

From a deep inventory of skills gained and honed through creating and promoting plays, musicals, and performances, I bring an extremely playful spirit to my work in graphic design as well as an open, collaborative working style, a careful eye continuously trained on details, and a highly organized approach to multi-layered projects. I excel in idea generation, problem-solving, and communication - qualities that deeply benefit graphic design.

I have created digital and printed assets for multiple types of promo needs, designed new business branding, created print posters and programs as well as digital assets for theater promo and educational promo, have created dynamic moving media, and served as creator, art director, and editor for promotional film trailers.
